Lordswood House Practice
Lordswood House Medical Practice was purpose-built in 1972 and re-built in 1997. The building is owned by the partners. There are sixteen consulting rooms and a suite of five rooms for nursing and minor surgical procedures. The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital occupies part of the first floor together with the District Nurses and Midwives. This allows easy communication between the medical and community nursing teams, ensuring that the continuity of care we value is maintained.
Car parking is available during surgery hours for patients who use the practice or the attached pharmacy. Please do not leave your car if you need to do any shopping or have any other business in the village or the city centre.
Designated disabled parking is available at the front of the building.
Unfortunately, there are occasions when we need to request an Ambulance urgently and there is a designated Ambulance parking space which must be left clear at all times. However, this space can also serve as a pick up/drop off point for patients who have mobility problems. Please do not leave your car parked in this space.
As the practice promotes a healthier lifestyle, there are facilities available for those who have cycled to the practice and can lock their bicycle safely. The bicycle station is situated at the front of the building next to the 'doctor on call' space at the front of the pharmacy.
The surgery has made numerous adjustments to the building to comply with providing adequate disability access for our patients and visitors by:
- Installing automated doors at the entrance to the surgery to make it easier for wheelchairs.
- Provision of disabled toilets.
- Most of the main services are offered on ground floor level.
- Lifts have been installed for access to those services offered on the first floor.
Quinton Family Practice
Quinton Family Practice is a small friendly practice offering a full range of services to patients. Our attached staff includes a Phlebotomist, Midwife, Mental Health Practitioner, Drug Worker and Community Matron.
Limited parking is available at the surgery; patients are requested not to obstruct any other vehicles. If parking on the road, please do not obstruct the drives of local houses.
We do not have designated disabled parking, but as part of the forthcoming practice improvement and development this will be provided.
Unfortunately, there are occasions when we need to request an Ambulance; access to the front drive must be available at all times.
Disabled access to the surgery is currently limited. Following our merger with Lordswood House Medical Practice and Quinborne Medical Practice, plans are in hand for improving and developing the surgery. Part of this development will be improved disabled access for patients.
Quinborne Medical Practice
Quinborne Medical Practice was purpose-built in 1994 and was extended and updated in 2010. The building is owned by the partners.
